Forever Like That- One Year Later

One year ago today was the best day of my life. It was the day that I promised forever to my best friend and the love of my life!

We officially have one year of marriage under our belt, and it is safe to say that it was the best year of my life! Marriage is hard and has it’s challenges- we’ve had our share of arguments, disagreements, and even a huge fight or two. There have been days that we’ve been incredibly frustrated with each other, but we are so blessed to say that honestly those days are few and far between!

This first year of marriage has honestly been such a blessing for us. We kicked off our marriage with a beautiful week in Jamaica. Upon returning, we sold my house and bought a beautiful home together. We went on a vacation with my family in June, adopted a new dog in July, I started a new job in August, went to three Alabama football games, we got a new car in December, spent our first married holidays together with our families, welcomed a new niece in January, spent our first Valentine’s day actually together in February, and best of all- we did it all together!

We had some ups and downs with other family issues this first year of marriage, but I can honestly say they were easier to go through with this man by my side. He is so patient with me, always offers a listening ear, and sometimes just cuddles the worries away with me. He makes me laugh every single day, leads me to Christ in all things, and is the best man I know.

Matthew, I knew I loved you with all my heart on March 7, 2015. I could have never imagined how much more I would love you one year later, but I do. You are my favorite everything. I hope and pray that every year of marriage is as wonderful as our first one was, but I also know that you will be by my side even when the dark days come. Thank you for loving me the way you do! I can’t wait to spend my forever like that!
