This is not a sponsored post. I just really, really love my Happy Planner and want to share the love and ideas!
Our fourth week in our new planners is wrapping up, and I don’t know about you, but I am loving mine! I am using “Botanical Garden” for my day to day planning, and to see my most recent spread there you can click here. I am using my “Be Bright” planner as a memory planner, so today I am going to update on my fourth week of memory planning!

Amanda, the social media coordinator for Me and My Big Ideas, started posting about using a planner as a memory planner several months ago. I fell in love with the idea and knew I would start doing it as soon as the new planners started. I just completed my fourth week in my memory planner, and I am LOVING this process. I have found that I am taking more pictures of day to day live, and I love being able to create this keepsake for our little family.
Above you will find the first half of our week, along with a lot of the new products from the new “Bright” and “Neon” planner basic lines. These two lines match the Be Bright planner perfectly, and I decided to try using them in my planner this week. There is no real “theme” for this week, as much as it’s just bright colors!
The first half of our week was spent in NYC, and also just trying to get home from NYC. Monday we went on a tour of the NYC harbor and of the 9/11 memorial. The 9/11 memorial was such a moving and emotional experience, and if you’ve never been I highly recommend it. Monday night we had dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner and went to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Tuesday we walked through Central Park, went to the Museum of Natural History, and spent about 15 hours trying to fly home– and ended up spending the night in the ATL airport. We finally made it home Wednesday, and we have never been so thankful for our beds!
We took so many pictures in NYC that I knew I wouldn’t be able to fit them all into a few columns in my planner. If you’ve been following my memory planning journey, then you know I have fallen in love with the Happy Planner Page Protectors. (You can find these at Hobby Lobby or online at the MAMBI shop.) I love that I can use this product to store even more photos from the week, and they always add a nice pop of color and decor to the week as well.
Here is an overall shot of the first half of our week. I love the bright colors that are throughout this spread, as well as the MAMBI stickers that I used both on the spread and on the page protector. MAMBI stickers are seriously the best!
Here is the back of that same page protector I used. I’m telling you, I took way too many pictures in NYC! I could probably have filled up more of these pocket pages with more pictures, but I tried to limit myself to my favorites!
Here is the second half of our week. I loved every second of our trip, but man it has been so wonderful to be home the past few days! Thursday I spent the day with my sister and niece. I missed them so much while gone! Friday I had a pool day with some of my life time friends. Saturday we had NO plans, so Matthew and I spent the day by our pool and then had a date night that night. Sunday was a pretty lazy day as well- we went to church, had lunch (and pops!) at Matthew’s parent’s house, and then I spent the afternoon catching up on some projects at work. It was the first weekend in a month where we didn’t have anything to do, and we soaked up every second of it!
Here you can see the second half of our week with the pocket page that is next to it. Have I mentioned that I love the bright colors throughout this spread? Because I surely do! The bright colors of this planner make the memories so much more fun and beautiful, if you ask me.
Above you will see the entire spread for the week. It was one of the best weeks of summer, for sure! So much fun in NYC, and then lots of quality time with our favorite people once we got home. It’s been a really good week to reflect on how lucky and blessed I am to have these people in my life and to be making these memories with each of them!
I already can’t wait to get started on memory planning next week. I’m seriously getting addicted to it! I hope that when I return to work in a few weeks that I will still have enough things going on to memory plan! I’m hoping my spreads don’t get really boring once life returns to a normal schedule!
