This is not a sponsored post. I just really, really love my Happy Planner and want to share the love and ideas!
A year ago, I was so excited to dive into my new Happy Planner. I was in love with the design and layout, and I quickly became addicted to MAMBI products. I started my planner instagram account towards the end of September (@kellofaplan), and I was hooked even more. During the early days of my IG planner journey, I saw many girls with multiple planners. I thought this was crazy. Who has such an exciting life that they need multiple planners? Not me! I was a one planner kind of lady.
If only I could go back in time and say to myself, “Just wait, Heather. Just wait.”
Confession: My name is Heather, and I’m addicted to Happy Planners.
I currently use five. Yes, you read that right. I use FIVE planners. WHAT?? I know, I’m crazy. But today, I’m going to give you information on each of the ones I am currently using and explain how I use them! Hopefully I can spark some ideas in your mind for why you can totally justify purchasing another Happy Planner. (Trust me, you need to purchase another Happy Planner!)
1. Botanical Garden Happy Planner
This is my “daily planner”. I use this planner for day-to-day basics. I keep track of bills, household chores, important work information, weeknight plans, weekend plans, meal planning, and more in this planner. For the most part, this planner stays at home and on my desk. (Although I do take it to work every so often.)
I decorate this planner on a weekly basis and post the shots on my instagram. If I were told I could only have one planner, this would be it. I would ditch all the others for this one- mainly because it holds the most information and is the most critical!
2. Be Bright Happy Planner
I use this planner as my “memory planner”. Amanda (Me and My Big Ideas Social Media Coordinator) started memory planning in her planner last year, and I instantly fell in love with it. I knew that I wanted to start doing the same thing. The bright colors and designs in this planner fit my lifestyle perfectly, and I knew it would be a fun place to record my memories.
I print pictures every week to add to my planner, and I decorate the weekly planner as well. I think this is the planner that I have the most fun with. It is so fun to print out pictures and reflect on the week, but it is also so fun to flip through prior weeks and be reminded of the good (and sometimes bad) times that were had. If my house were to catch on fire, this would probably be the one planner that I try to grab on my way out the door!
3. Recipe Organizer Happy Planner
This planner is a classic sized planner with several sections of recipes. It is exclusive to Hobby Lobby, the MAMBI shop, and sometimes you can even find it on Blitsy! (Michael’s Stores did have it briefly in the fall, but I haven’t seen it there since.)
This planner is one of my favorites. Every week I like to try at least one new recipe off of Pinterest. If we like the recipe, it goes into the recipe organizer. This is a life saver for one main reason: in the past, if we liked a recipe it was just pinned to my recipe board on Pinterest. Do you know how many recipes I have pinned on Pinterest?? It was almost impossible to find the recipe again. But now, it’s in my neat recipe organizer! Plus I have a lot of fun decorating the pages. I think it will be a great keepsake to pass down to our future children as well!
I have also added the meal planner section of the “Home Planner” to this recipe organizer. I love this because I can meal plan, and then flip to the recipes in my organizer and make my grocery list. It is so convenient and easy! I also changed the cover on this planner. Mainly because I’m not a “red” kind of girl, and the coral stripes were too adorable to pass up. 🙂
4. The Happy Planner Teacher Planner
This planner is a 12 month, BIG size Happy Planner. It was originally exclusive to Hobby Lobby and the MAMBI shop, but has since sold out at both. (Some Hobby Lobby stores might still have a few left- hurry and get one if you’re lucky to find it there!) Michael’s currently has two teacher boxed kits. The insides are the exact same, but the covers and rings are different. This item is an in-store seasonal item only, so if you want one, you better go grab one before they sale out!
I use this planner as my work planner. It stays on my desk at work for the majority of the time and so does my big pink punch that fits this size planner. This planner does get decorated, but not as much. This planner is more functional than anything. I am an instructional technology specialist at my campus, and with that role comes many different hats! My tasks change on a daily/weekly basis, and this planner helps me to keep track of them all.
5. Rose Gold Horizontal Planner
Chantelle (Me and My Big Ideas Customer Service Rep) really inspired me to purchase this planner. She uses her horizontal planner to practice her brush lettering, and I fell in LOVE with this idea! I ordered some Tombow brush pens off of Amazon, picked up the planner, and got to work! I have a long way to go to perfect this craft, but it’s so awesome to have a planner full of paper that is meant just for my lettering! (And the Tombow pens don’t bleed through!)
So there you have it! That is how I am currently using my *FIVE* planners in my planner stack. I know, five planners is so crazy! But it’s a system that is currently working for me, so I’ll go with it. (And it will probably go to six planners when the new faith planner is released in September!!)
