Last weekend I “decorated” our house for fall. I put it in quotations, because I don’t do that much decorating for fall in my house. I decorate for Christmas really early, so I have always felt like it was pointless to invest in a lot of fall decor. However, after decorating, I realized that I really needed one more sign for my mantel. Instead of going out to purchase one, I decided to make my own!
I grabbed this small wooden sign at Michaels. It was only $3.99, but I used my 50% off coupon. I already had the tape runner, white sharpie paint pen, and mambi die cuts at home, so that was all I had to grab at Michaels!
I used my white sharpie paint pen to letter “hello fall”. Then I used my tape runner, and taped some of the fall leaves die cut from the mambi pack of die cut. (Make sure to use a permanent tape runner so that it sticks!) This was seriously one of the easiest crafts I’ve ever done, and it only took a few minutes.
I decided to prop it on my mantel next to a sign that my little cousin made. I love how it looks added to our mantel. I think it was the perfect addition to my fall mantel! Don’t you just love fall colors?
How are you using the mambi die cut leaves? They are so cute, and the possibilities are seriously endless with them! If you haven’t picked any up yet, I found mine at my local Michaels store.
